    Great Expectations

    Great Expectations is the most challenging production Girls’ High has ever attempted. With no less than 68 separate scenes in which Charles Dickens’s sweeping classic tale of ambition, love, desire and revenge takes the action to as distinctly different locations as a crumbling mansion, a humble cottage, the London markets, the river Thames, a windswept graveyard and coastal marshes, the designers, builders, technicians and, of course, the actors who make up the Year 13 class are having to stretch every sinew of their imaginations and inventiveness.
