MOE is focused on “developing a more robust infrastructure and a more resilient system so learners can receive education in any scenario.” Their aim is for every family to have at least one education option available at the start of Term 2.
There will be dedicated TV channels catering for students up to Year 10. These programmes will be an integrated approach covering movement, music, PE, wellbeing, numeracy, literacy and science. Māori Television will cater for all age groups up to 18 years of age. From 9am – 3pm it will have programming tailored to specific age groups. The focus will be on building skills in speaking Te Reo Māori and ensuring Te Reo Māori is being spoken and heard in the home.
Access to the Virtual Learning Network Community is also being extended. The link for this is on the Learning from Home website.
Our staff have set up Google Classrooms for each of their classes. Please just check that your daughter is accessing it after Easter if she hasn't already.
