We no longer have a 'School Zone' as part of an enrolment scheme, so welcome all enrolment applications.
Whangarei Girls' High School also have a boarding facility called "Lupton House" next to the school campus. It is a very popular choice for parents who want the best possible schooling for their daughter, but live too far away for daily commuting. For more information see Lupton House.
THE SWITCH PROJECT
Our students are entering a different world to that of their parents and teachers with new job and learning opportunities. These opportunities need students that can think deeply about issues, solve problems creatively, communicate clearly in a variety of media, learn ever-changing technologies, and deal with multiple sources of information. Most importantly, these opportunities need students who can adapt thoughtfully to different situations and take ownership of their learning and actions. It is with these opportunities in mind that we are continuing The Switch Project in 2020.

|Voluntary Parent Donation||$100.00 per student or $150.00 per family (2 students or more)|
|Student ID Card||$6.50|
The Parent Donation is a voluntary donation which can be claimed on your tax return. It enables us to provide a more extensive range of resources which we would not be able to otherwise meet from our operational funding.
The Student ID Card
This is a photo identification card that confirms your daughter is a students at Whangarei Girls' High School. It also assists with receiving discounts for various services, i.e. transport. Student ID Cards are encouraged and will be issued early in Term 1 (if paid), or upon enrolment for mid year enrolments.
$10 printing is charged for anything a student prints herself. If this is exceeded, individual students will need to top up their account on a user pays basis.We suggest $10 as a recommended amount to be added against your daughter's account. Students will need to top up their account on a user pays basis.
These can be paid by direct credit, cheque (payable to Whangarei Girls' High School) or cash. Eftpos is available if paying at WGHS Payments Office. We understand that this may be a financial burden, and can assist you by offering information on payment options if required. This can be discussed at the enrolment interview stage.
We advise the school does have eftpos but NOT credit card facilities. We also offer the option of paying direct to our BNZ bank accounts. The accounts are in the name of Whangarei Girls' High School and are:
