Whangarei Girls' High School is proud of the extensive range of sports on offer to all students. We endeavour to cater for all student needs whether they be elite athletes striving to reach their full potential, social participants or students wanting to improve their fitness.


Sports and physical activity are important part of school life, and we have over 30 sporting codes at school for our students to join, including hockey, horse riding, football, cheerleading, tennis, netball, cycling and volleyball. The school has a strong tradition of excellence in sport and has achieved national honours in a wide range of sporting activities.
